About Your Role

The Compost Yard Farmhand is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of composting processes, including daily equipment checks, maintenance, and quality control. You’ll play a hands-on role in operating composting machinery, filling bunkers, managing spawn and supplement loading, and ensuring the proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work areas.

Key duties include performing routine pre-start checks on equipment, greasing and refilling machinery, and recording data accurately. You will also be involved in the unloading of deliveries, assisting with minor repairs, and supporting maintenance activities around the yard. Ensuring safety, efficiency, and cleanliness throughout the composting process is vital for the success of the role.

To succeed, you need a strong attention to detail, physical fitness to handle labor-intensive tasks, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with plant or equipment operation is a plus.
