Description

Our compost yard is located at Lower Light and was built in 2019. We use farm by-product such as wheat straw & chicken manure with gypsum and water to create some of the best compost in Australia. After pasteurisation, our compost is used as soil conditioner for home gardens, market gardens and vineyards.

On a daily basis, the Phase 1 Farmhand is responsible for the pre-treatment and fermenting of composting material. This process includes wetting, turning, applying ingredients, and monitoring and recording data during each of these steps.

The Phase 1 Farmhand operates plant and equipment, including forklifts, front-end loaders, bunker fillers, hoppers and compost turners as well as cleaning this equipment and performing basic preventative maintenance. They may be required to load and unload delivery vehicles from time to time.

The roster is Monday to Thursday with rotating half day Saturdays. We offer above award rates and provide a fuel allowance*

Must have working rights in Australia.
