Summary:

We are seeking experienced and reliable female Disability Support Workers to provide one-on-one support to a 27-year-old female participant in Morphett Vale.

This role involves supporting a participant with complex needs and behaviors of concern, requiring a calm, consistent, and confident approach. You will be working independently while following structured support strategies and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Due to the nature of supports, including personal care and participant preferences, a female support worker is required for this role.

Shifts Available

  • Active nights (10 pm – 6am)
  • Afternoon shifts (2 pm – 10 pm)
  • Morning shifts ( 6am – 2pm)

  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Ability to follow structured routines and behaviour support strategies
  • Clear verbal and written English skills to support safe communication and documentation
  • Reliable, consistent, and committed to continuity of care

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person‑centered daily living support.
  • Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support emotional regulation and positive daily routines.
  • Follow established behavior support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation.
  • Promote safety, dignity, and independence at all times.

Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in disability support or complex‑needs environments (Essential)
  • Understanding of behavior support strategies and person‑centered practice
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging moments
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

✅ Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent. ✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check. ✅Assist Clients with Medication Certificate. ✅ First Aid & CPR Certification. ✅ Australian Driver’s Licence & reliable vehicle (preferred). ✅ Ability to follow Behavior Support Plans & work within a trauma-informed approach. ✅ Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
