Description

About RSPCA Queensland

For more than 140 years, RSPCA Queensland has been a leading animal welfare charity, dedicated to improving the lives of animals – whether domestic, farmed, or native. We care for over 42,000 animals annually, relying on the generosity of animal lovers like you to fund 91% of our life-changing services.

Our Purpose: We exist for animals to live better lives.

About the Role

Some people see loyalty as numbers on a dashboard. We see something much bigger!

Behind every recurring supporter is someone who has chosen to stand beside animals in need – not just once but month after month. Someone who believes every animal deserves compassion, care and a second chance.

As our National Lottery Loyalty Specialist, you’ll play a key role in growing and strengthening our Pet Supporter program – creating meaningful experiences that keep supporters engaged, connected and inspired by the impact they’re making for animals across Queensland.

Sitting at the intersection of loyalty, customer experience, lifecycle marketing and fundraising, this role is all about building lasting relationships. You’ll help shape supporter journeys from acquisition through to long-term loyalty, finding new ways to increase engagement, improve retention and grow recurring revenue.

Working across digital campaigns, supporter communications, marketing automation and data insights, you’ll identify opportunities to continually improve the supporter experience. You’ll test new ideas, analyse performance, optimise campaigns and collaborate with teams across fundraising, digital, supporter services and marketing to cultivate lasting supporter relationships and drive sustainable growth.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys understanding people and what keeps them engaged.

You might come from a background in loyalty, membership, subscriptions, CRM marketing, customer retention or fundraising. You understand how to create experiences that keep customers and supporters coming back. You know that great customer experiences don’t happen by accident – they’re thoughtfully designed, continuously refined and always centred around the people they’re created for.

You’re naturally curious and enjoy asking questions, digging into data and uncovering opportunities to improve engagement and performance. You balance commercial thinking with creativity, feeling just as comfortable analysing campaign results as you are collaborating with colleagues to develop compelling supporter communications, optimise journeys and bring new loyalty initiatives to life.

If you’re proactive, collaborative and motivated by creating meaningful experiences that make a genuine difference, you’ll thrive in this role.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Help shape and deliver loyalty and retention strategies that grow our national Pet Supporter program.
  • Design and optimise supporter journeys across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention and reactivation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supporter experience, increase lifetime value and reduce attrition.
  • Coordinate multi-channel campaigns across email, SMS, digital and other fundraising channels.
  • Analyse supporter behaviour and campaign performance to uncover insights and recommend improvements.
  • Work with CRM and marketing automation platforms to deliver personalised supporter communications.
  • Partner with fundraising, lotteries, digital marketing, creative, supporter services and data teams to deliver engaging campaigns.
  • Develop meaningful stewardship initiatives that recognise supporters and demonstrate the impact of their contributions.
  • Contribute creative ideas, testing and innovation that strengthen supporter loyalty and drive sustainable recurring revenue.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Experience in loyalty, membership, subscriptions, customer retention, recurring revenue or supporter engagement.
  • A strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and supporter journeys.
  • Experience contributing to acquisition, engagement or retention campaigns.
  • Confidence interpreting campaign data and using insights to improve performance.
  • Experience working with CRM or marketing automation platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Strong organisation and project coordination abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A customer-first mindset, commercial thinking and a passion for continuous improvement.

Added bonus if you have experience in:

  • Experience in fundraising, not-for-profit or charity environments.
  • Exposure to recurring giving or loyalty programs.
  • Experience with platforms such as Ortto, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar.
  • Knowledge of digital fundraising, customer experience or supporter journey optimisation.
