The Opportunity 

We have a new opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join our QLD team. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual with a positive can-do attitude.  

Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver, set up, and maintain variable message sign trailers, light towers, variable speed limit signs, and barriers, ensuring they are fully operational and meet client requirements.
  • Perform equipment repairs, maintenance, and quality checks, ensuring all hire equipment is cleaned, tested, and ready for dispatch and return.
  • Follow correct procedures for equipment handling, troubleshooting minor mechanical and electrical faults under supervision, and assisting with general workshop tasks.
  • Organize and maintain the workshop, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored, and conduct routine inventory checks of spare parts and tools.
  • Assist in assembling, modifying, or preparing new equipment for rental use, ensuring it meets operational standards.
  • Load and unload hire equipment from vehicles and trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform general labour tasks whilst following safe manual handling practices.
  • Conduct pre-start checks, final inspections at drop-offs and pick-ups, and actively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Demonstrate initiative, efficiency, and problem-solving skills, adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety and service standards.

What You Will Bring:

  • History of safe working practices
  • At least 1-year experience is preferable
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical background is desirable but not required
