The Opportunity 

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join our VIC team.

 

No previous workshop, trade, or industry experience is required. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. If you’re reliable, enjoy hands-on work, and want to build a long-term career, we’ll provide the training and support to help you succeed.

 

Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll gain valuable skills in equipment preparation, maintenance, workshop operations, logistics, and safety while contributing to the success of a growing national business.

 

Your Tasks and Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the workshop team with day-to-day activities.
  • Cleaning and preparing hire equipment ready for customer use.
  • Helping load and unload equipment from vehicles and trucks.
  • Assist the workshop team with daily equipment preparation and maintenance activities.
  • Assisting with deliveries and collections when required.
  • Learning how to safely handle and care for hire equipment.
  • Helping organise tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Carrying out general labouring and manual handling tasks.
  • Reporting any damaged equipment, safety concerns, or issues to your supervisor.
  • Following safe work procedures and instructions from team members.
  • Working as part of a team and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
  • Report any damaged equipment, safety concerns, or operational issues to the supervisor promptly.
