The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated, hands-on operator to join our WA branch in a dynamic all-rounder role. This is a versatile position that blends day-to-day operations coordination, field delivery and installation, and workshop-based equipment maintenance ensuring our hire equipment is ready, safely deployed, and efficiently managed. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily scheduling of jobs and equipment movements across the WA branch
- Allocate resources, manage driver to ensure timely service delivery
- Deliver, set up, and collect VMS Boards, Light Towers, Arrow Boards, Traffic Lights, Water Barriers (Armorzones), and other hire equipment safely and in line with SOPs
- Perform equipment repairs, maintenance, and quality checks ensuring all hire equipment is cleaned, tested, and ready for dispatch
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical faults and assist with general workshop tasks
- Liaise with the sales team on delivery and collection requirements, and undertake pre-delivery calls to ensure first-class customer service
- Complete all delivery, collection, and system entries accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop and yard
- Conduct pre-start checks, vehicle inspections, and proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards
- Assist in training fellow team members on equipment handling and procedures
The Successful Applicant
- Valid car licence (truck/HR licence advantageous)
- Experience in a delivery, logistics, or field operations environment preferred
- Workshop or equipment maintenance background mechanical/electrical fault-finding highly regarded
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Report and escalate any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns promptly according to company procedures
- Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience in scheduling or operations coordination is an advantage
- Experience in a delivery, logistics, or field operations environment (preferred)

- Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- A professional phone manner with excellent communication skills.
- Positive “can do” attitude.
- Be highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to pick up new skills quickly and maintain accurate information.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in OH&S compliance and manual handling.
- Alignment with and enthusiasm for our core values is a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Capability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to contribute to a high-functioning vibrant team environment.
Current forklift licence (LF) essential
Ability to operate scheduling software or company-specific systems
