Description

For over 12 years, Rise & Shine Kindergarten has been raising the bar in early childhood education. We’re a proudly private, family-owned organisation with 400+ people across 14 centres in NSW and QLD — and we’re growing. At the heart of everything is a simple belief: exceptional learning starts with exceptional people.

The role

Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you’ll be a trusted HR Adviser covering a portfolio of Sydney centres. This is a true 360 HR role — no two days will look the same.

  • Own the full employee lifecycle for your client group — from hiring and onboarding through to performance and offboarding
  • Partner with centre leaders as their go-to expert on employment legislation, WHS, performance management, and workplace grievances
  • Champion HR projects and initiatives that lift engagement, strengthen retention, and shape a genuinely great culture
  • Support Workers’ Compensation and return-to-work cases (training provided — no prior experience needed)
  • Advise, coach, and support Centre Directors through the performance development and review process cycle including monitoring, management of unsatisfactory performance, performance improvement plans, and development need analysis.
  • Prepare and analyse quarterly HR metrics to surface insights and drive better decisions

About you

  • Proven experience in an HR Adviser or similar generalist role
  • Bachelor degree or Diploma in Human Resources
  • Comfortable working in an HRIS (Employment Hero experience a plus) and confident pulling reports in Excel
  • High integrity, discretion with sensitive matters, and a genuine passion for people and culture
  • A natural communicator with real empathy — someone who can connect at every level of the organisation
  • Valid driver’s licence and a current (or willingness to obtain) WWCC
