About the Role
As an Inclusion Support Educator, you’ll be energetic, creative, dedicated, and driven to assist children with additional needs to independently engage with their peers and learning environment.
Based in our toddler’s space, you’ll work collaboratively with the broader team to implement tailored strategies that encourage confidence, participation, and a strong sense of belonging. Your ability to build trusting relationships and respond to individual strengths and needs will be essential in helping each child flourish.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Meet the Following Selection Criteria:
- Inclusive of others, with a positive and collaborative attitude
- Motivated to build respectful and meaningful connections with colleagues, families, children, and the wider community while maintaining professional boundaries
- Dedicated, enthusiastic, and reliable, with a commitment to excellence for children and willingness to grow with the service
- Ready to support the implementation of contemporary, evidence-informed pedagogy
- Open to our unique and innovative approach to programming and practice
- Shows an interest in understanding and exploring the RIE approach
- ACECQA approved Early Childhood, Allied Health or related qualifications e.g. Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Special Education, are highly regarded (or currently working towards)
- Current Child Protection training, including a recognised course code for Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk, is highly regarded (if Early Childhood qualified/working towards)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications are encouraged (at your own cost).
Essential Criteria:
- Valid NSW Working With Children Check (or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary child safe practices, including child safeguarding responsibilities (or a willingness to develop this knowledge)
- Available for permanent part-time work across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 hours per day and 32 hours a week, with flexibility as required
- Current Food Handler Basics training, with a certificate to be provided*
- Current Child Safety training (Geccko), with a certificate to be provided*
*To be completed prior to your first working shift.
