We are inviting dedicated, compassionate, and dynamic individuals to join our team in the Toowoomba area as PPT and Casual Child and Youth Workers.

Employment Options

Permanent Part-Time (PPT) – 32 Hours per Week

  • Consistent roster (even spread of day/evening shifts)
  • Every second weekend off
  • Ongoing stability and structured team placement
  • Ideal for experienced workers seeking consistency and career progression
  • Hourly rate from $38.65, up to $103.65 with penalties

Casual Positions

  • Flexible, on-demand shifts across a 24/7 roster
  • Opportunity to build experience across multiple teams and homes
  • Ideal for those seeking flexibility or entering the sector
  • Hourly rate from $43.23, up to $103,76 with penalties

Key Requirements

For PPT Roles:

  • Minimum Certificate IV (or higher) in a relevant field
  • Availability for a set 32-hour roster, including sleepovers

For Casual Roles:

  • Certificate IV or willingness to study (must be outlined in application)
  • Flexible availability across a 24/7 roster, including sleepovers

For All Applicants:

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Willingness to complete Hope & Healing Framework Foundations Training
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Valid QLD Driver’s License

As a Youth Worker with RISE, you will be at the heart of our operations, helping to nurture and empower vulnerable young people. You will be instrumental in helping them:

The Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing targeted support to younger children and sibling groups to help them achieve their goals.
  • Working towards transitioning children and young people into family, kinship, or foster care placements.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe residential environment.
  • Managing day-to-day tasks within a care setting.
  • Completing detailed verbal and written reports.
  • Working within our ASCEND framework.
