About The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the accounting department in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Your days will include:

• Daily bank reconciliations
• Manage accounts receivable
• Assisting with month-end close including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Supporting BAS preparation and other statutory reporting
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support the audit process
• Provide support to other members of the accounting team as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
