The Opportunity

We’re seeking a State Manager – NSW to take on a leadership role within Right2Drive’s Branch network for the designated state/s, with full ownership of strategic and operational performance across all Branches.

This is a high-impact, total P&L role where you’ll drive financial performance, lead a team of Branch Managers, and ensure world-class customer service and safety standards across every site.

You’ll work closely with the General Manager, Branch and the Commerical Finance Manager to strengthen financial acumen across the network, and partner cross-functionally to enhance referrer and customer relationships that support long-term, sustainable growth.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Developing and implementing state-wide strategies that enhance operational efficiency, financial performance and market positioning
  • Taking full ownership of the state P&L, including revenue, COGS, employee costs, property expense and travel & entertainment
  • Leading, mentoring and developing Branch Managers and Relationship Executives to build leadership capability across all levels
  • Monitoring and optimising state-wide operational targets, including QA & file quality, vehicle utilisation and employee productivity
  • Strengthening referrer relationships at all levels to position Right2Drive as the most highly regarded business in the mobility space
  • Preparing detailed performance reporting for executive leadership on business activity, referrer engagement and emerging risks
  • Championing world-class customer service, people engagement and a strong safety culture, in line with WHS policy, across every Branch
  • Travelling regularly to sites under management, including interstate when required

 

About You

You’re a commercially astute, hands-on leader with a track record of driving P&L performance and building engaged, high-performing teams. You bring strong financial acumen alongside the relationship skills to build trust with senior stakeholders, referrers and business partners.

You’ll succeed in this role if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Have 5+ years’ leadership experience managing teams of 20+ employees, ideally within automotive, insurance, logistics or B2B service industries
  • Bring a strong understanding of the automotive repair industry, insurance-related services, car rental and fulfilment
  • Can interpret financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, management reports) and make strategic, profit-driven decisions
  • Have experience structuring and negotiating value-based commercial agreements
  • Lead, mentor and hold accountable a team of Branch Managers and Relationship Executives, driving state-wide training, professional growth, and world-class operational standards
  • Are execution-focused, with strong follow-through on plans, commitments and performance improvements
  • Communicate with confidence and credibility, able to deliver clear, compelling presentations to executives and stakeholders
  • Are proactive, data-driven, and passionate about leading teams and growing revenue
