The job:

We are seeking experienced EEHA Inspectors to support major LNG and oil & gas projects across Western Australia. This role is critical in ensuring hazardous area electrical installations are compliant, safe, and ready for energisation and ongoing operations. You will play a key part in inspection, verification, and commissioning across large-scale, high-profile energy projects.

Qualifications and licences:

  • Must have Australian working rights
  • WA A Grade Electrical licence (desirable)
  • Completion of IECEx / EEHA certification within the last 5 years
  • Strong working knowledge of AS/NZS 60079 and AS/NZS 3000
  • Extensive EEHA inspection experience within LNG and oil & gas environments
  • Proven experience inspecting Ex d, Ex e, Ex i and associated systems
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Construction White Card
  • Working at Heights
  • LVR/CPR & current First Aid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections of hazardous area electrical installations in line with AS/NZS 60079 standards
  • Verify compliance of Ex equipment (Ex d, Ex e, Ex i, Ex n, Ex t) prior to energisation and during commissioning
  • Inspect and verify correct installation of glands, cabling systems, earthing and equipment certification
  • Ensure correct segregation of IS and non-IS circuits
  • Review hazardous area drawings, datasheets and certification for compliance
  • Identify non-conformances, raise punch items and provide rectification guidance
  • Witness and verify ITRs, testing, and project handover documentation
  • Collaborate with construction, commissioning and client teams
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and support audits
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring on EEHA compliance
