We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Landfill Manager to lead the daily operations of our new Botanic Ridge site.

About the Role

Reporting to the GM Operations, the Landfill Manager will oversee landfill and transfer yard operations, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient site performance. This role is responsible for leading operational teams, driving environmental and safety outcomes, managing budgets, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day landfill and transfer yard operations
  • Leading and supporting site teams to achieve operational targets
  • Ensuring compliance with EPA, environmental and safety regulations
  • Monitoring landfill performance, recovery rates and operational efficiencies
  • Managing budgets, contractors and stakeholder relationships
  • Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
  • Promoting a strong safety-first culture across the site

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous leadership experience within landfill, waste, recycling, manufacturing or resource recovery operations
  • Strong operational management and people leadership skills
  • Experience managing site safety, compliance and environmental standards
  • Budget and performance management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
