We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Performance Engineer to join our Operations team overseeing all Repurpose It sites. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role is focused on improving operational performance across multiple sites by driving process improvement, increasing visibility of key metrics, and supporting operational excellence initiatives.
Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Commercial, Finance, and Safety teams, you will play a key role in identifying inefficiencies, improving systems and processes, and supporting the successful delivery of operational and capital projects.
This is a full-time onsite role based in either of our locations across Melbourne, with occasional travel to each site.
Key Responsibilities
Operations:
- Develop and monitor production KPIs across sites
- Improve equipment performance and operational efficiency
- Identify process improvements and reduce operational inefficiencies
- Support planning, forecasting, and coordination across teams
- Assist with SOP development and continuous improvement initiatives
Projects:
- Support delivery of CAPEX and operational improvement projects
- Assist with process engineering and operational trials
- Coordinate contractors and project activities onsite
- Support implementation of new technologies and operational processes
Safety:
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and site requirements
- Report hazards, incidents, and safety concerns promptly
- Lead by example in safe work practices
Quality:
- Ensure compliance with IMS, ISO45001, and ISO14001 standards
- Support quality and compliance outcomes across operations
- Report non-conformities and improvement opportunities
- Assist in maintaining product and operational standards
About You:
- Degree qualified in Engineering or related
- Experience in Manufacturing, Construction, Waste, Recycling, or similar industries
- Experience supporting operational or CAPEX projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
