About the Role

We are seeking an AI Vision Engineer to lead the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of Repurpose It’s AI Vision platform across our operational sites. Reporting to the Chief Technology & Transformation Officer, this role will play a key part in delivering advanced computer vision capabilities that improve safety, operational efficiency, environmental compliance, and data-driven decision making.

You will work across AI, operational technology, and business systems, managing the full lifecycle of vision-based solutions from camera and platform deployment through to model optimisation, system integration, and ongoing performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise the AI Vision platform, including cameras, edge devices, analytics tools, and monitoring systems.
  • Deploy, maintain, and improve computer vision models for safety, material classification, licence plate recognition, contaminant detection, and operational monitoring.
  • Integrate AI Vision outputs with business systems, including ERP, CRM, safety, an environmental platform.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines that support Digital Twin and operational intelligence initiatives.
  • Monitor system performance, model accuracy, and platform reliability, ensuring governance and compliance requirements are met.
  • Support EPA evidence captures, regulatory reporting, and environmental compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors, research partners, and internal stakeholders to identify and deliver innovative AI solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through emerging AI and computer vision technologies.

About You

  • Degree qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with AI, computer vision, machine learning, data engineering, or intelligent automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of camera systems, edge computing, video analytics, or operational technology environments.
  • Experience integrating systems, data platforms, APIs, or cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational challenges into practical technology solutions.
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for innovation, emerging technologies, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
