You enjoy speaking with people and building rapport, whether you’re answering a question, helping someone navigate their course or checking in on their progress. Phone contact is an important part of this role, so you’ll be confident picking up the phone and providing clear, friendly support.

You have strong attention to detail, adapt well when priorities change and enjoy being part of a team where everyone contributes. Previous experience in an administrative or customer-facing role is essential, while experience supporting students within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) would be highly regarded.

The position

 

As a Training Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of the student experience—connecting with students every day, anticipating their needs and helping them feel supported, confident and on track throughout their learning journey.

 

This is much more than a traditional administration role. You’ll combine proactive student engagement with course coordination, bringing fresh ideas and looking for smarter ways to improve how we work and the experience we deliver.

What you’ll be doing

  • Proactively connecting with students by phone and email to provide guidance, answer questions and help keep them engaged and on track.
  • Delivering friendly, responsive support and creating a positive experience at every stage of the student journey.
  • Coordinating course administration, enrolments, completions and associated documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate student and course records across aXcelerate, Salesforce and other internal systems.
  • Identifying when students may need additional support and acting before issues arise.
  • Supporting the development, review and continuous improvement of courses and learning materials.
  • Working closely with trainers and the broader team to ensure courses run smoothly.
  • Contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team where everyone takes ownership and supports one another.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a student-facing role with a RTO is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer-facing role.
  • A genuine interest in helping people and delivering a positive student experience.
  • Confidence communicating with students and members by phone and email.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate record.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using aXcelerate, Salesforce or another student management or CRM system would be highly regarded but is not essential training will be provided.
