Description

Dairy |Beef | Sheep | Victoria

Build a Territory. Win Customers. Leave a Legacy.

Some people are happy maintaining customer lists.

Others see untapped farms, opportunities their competitors have missed, and relationships waiting to be built.

We’re looking for the second kind.

At Reid Stockfeeds, we don’t just want someone to service accounts—we’re looking for someone who loves the challenge of winning new business, earning trust at the farm gate and helping livestock producers become more profitable.

If you’re the person who enjoys turning a “no” into a “let’s give it a go,” who spots opportunities before everyone else, and who genuinely cares about helping farmers succeed, then keep reading.

About Reid Stockfeeds

Reid Stockfeeds is one of Australia’s leading family-owned stockfeed manufacturers, proudly supplying quality nutrition solutions to dairy, beef and sheep producers across Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales.

For generations, we’ve built our reputation by doing what we say we’ll do, backing our customers and investing for the long term—not the next quarter.

We’re large enough to make a real impact, yet agile enough that good ideas are heard, decisions are made quickly and people genuinely know one another.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for exceptional people who want to grow with us.

Why This Role Matters

Every tonne of feed we manufacture supports Australian food production.

Behind every dairy, beef or sheep farm is a family business working hard to produce safe, high-quality food for Australian and international markets.

Your role is to help those businesses become more profitable through practical feeding solutions, trusted advice and genuine partnerships.

You’ll own your territory, build relationships that last for years and work alongside our Nutrition & Technical Services team to deliver real outcomes for customers.

Reid Stockfeeds is investing heavily in manufacturing capability, technology, people and customer experience as we build the next chapter of one of Australia’s most respected family-owned agricultural businesses

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • You’ll take ownership of a defined territory and be responsible for
  • Winning new customers and growing market share
  • Building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Developing long-term relationships with dairy, beef and sheep producers
  • Growing profitable revenue while protecting margin
  • Understanding each customer’s production system and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
  • Working alongside our Nutrition & Technical Services team to deliver practical feeding solutions
  • Using Dynamics CRM to manage opportunities, forecasts and customer relationships.
  • Collaborating with Mill Managers and Operations to ensure we consistently deliver on our promises.
  • You’ll spend far more time on farms than behind a desk—and that’s exactly how we like it.

What Success Looks Like After 90 Days

  • You’ve earned the trust of your existing customers
  • You understand your territory and know where the biggest opportunities are
  • You’ve built a strong pipeline of qualified prospects
  • You’ve already started winning business and adding value.
  • Customers know your name—and you’ve probably shared more than a few conversations leaning on a farm gate or over the bonnet of a ute.

After 12 Months

  • You’re consistently achieving your revenue and margin targets
  • You’ve won new customers from competitors
  • Your pipeline is healthy, your CRM is disciplined and your forecasts are reliable
  • Customers see you as a trusted commercial partner who understands their business.
  • You’re recognised internally as someone who gets things done.

After 3 Years

  • You’ve built one of the highest-performing territories in the business.
  • You’re recognised as a leader and mentor within Reid Stockfeeds.
  • Your customers wouldn’t consider buying feed anywhere else without talking to you first.
  • You’ve helped shape the future direction of the business while building a reputation you’ll carry throughout your career.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll probably recognise yourself in this list.

You:

  • Love winning new business.
  • Thrive on healthy competition.
  • See opportunity where others see obstacles.
  • Build trust quickly and naturally.
  • Understand agriculture and genuinely enjoy working alongside farmers.
  • Ask great questions before offering solutions.
  • Think commercially and understand that profitable growth matters.
  • Take ownership instead of waiting for someone else to solve problems.
  • Are organised, disciplined and accountable.
  • Follow through on your commitments.
  • Want to build something—not simply maintain it.

Experience in stockfeed, rural merchandise, animal production or agricultural sales will be highly regarded.

More importantly, we’re looking for someone with the attitude, curiosity and determination to become one of the best commercial operators in the industry.

Why Join Reid Stockfeeds?

Because we’re building for the next generation—not just the next financial year.

When you join Reid Stockfeeds, you’ll become part of a family-owned business where relationships matter, people are trusted to make decisions and success is measured over decades, not quarters.

You’ll enjoy:

  • A respected brand with an outstanding reputation across the livestock industry.
  • The support of experienced Nutrition & Technical Services professionals.
  • The autonomy to manage your territory like it’s your own business.
  • A collaborative leadership team that values initiative, ideas and accountability.
  • Ongoing commercial and technical development.
  • A culture built on trust, integrity and doing the right thing.
  • The opportunity to genuinely influence the future growth of the business.

And because exceptional performance deserves exceptional reward, the successful candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package including a fully maintained company vehicle, tools of trade and an attractive performance incentive designed to recognise and reward commercial success.

You’ll be backed by modern CRM systems, experienced nutritionists and a leadership team committed to helping you spend more time creating customer value and less time on administration.

Ready to Build Something That Matters?

If you’re looking for a career where you’ll genuinely influence customers, grow a business and build a reputation you’ll be proud of, we’d love to meet you.

If you’re looking for the opportunity to build a profitable territory, earn the trust of Australia’s livestock producers, contribute to a business with genuine family values and leave the business stronger than you found it, we’d love to hear from you.
