Role Summary

Regent RV, a leader in the Australian caravan and recreational vehicle manufacturing industry, is seeking a high-calibre Strategic Finance Manager to join our leadership team.

In this pivotal role, you will be a strategic partner to the executive team, moving beyond traditional finance functions to drive operational transformation and business growth. You will play a critical role in our ongoing M&A initiatives, the optimisation of our total business value chain, and our broader geographic expansion. We are looking for a finance leader with the intellectual agility to dissect complex problems and the operational insight to implement high-impact, value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership & Transformation

  • Operational Transformation: Act as a key driver of operational change, identifying opportunities to streamline manufacturing processes, reduce overheads, and enhance margins across the organisation
  • Business Value Chain: Lead comprehensive reviews of our end-to-end value chain—from supply chain and procurement to manufacturing and final distribution—to identify value leakage and drive profitability
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with department heads to develop robust financial models and long-range forecasts that align with the company’s strategic growth objectives.

Partnerships & Strategic Growth

  • Deal Execution & PMI: Lead the financial due diligence process for potential acquisitions and divestitures. Take full ownership of the Post-Merger Integration (PMI) phase, ensuring synergies are realised, financial systems are harmonised, and operational culture is effectively aligned
  • RV Industry Partnerships: Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities across the RV ecosystem—including dealer networks, financing partners, and component suppliers—to build competitive advantage and revenue resilience
  • Retail Network Performance: Act as the financial architect for our retail footprint. Analyse store-level performance to drive profitability, optimise inventory turns within the network, and design robust financial incentive structures that align dealer behaviour with corporate growth goals
  • Geographic Expansion: Partner with the Executive team to model, test, and executed geographic expansion strategies. Conduct rigorous ROI and feasibility analysis for new markets to ensure capital is deployed efficiently and that expansion plans deliver scalable, long-term returns

e-Finance, Automation & Innovation

  • e-Finance Architecture: Architect and scale a modern e-Finance ecosystem, ensuring financial workflows are fully integrated, web-enabled, and frictionless across the enterprise.
  • Process Automation: Lead the complete automation of financial cycles, replacing manual, legacy processing with intelligent systems to ensure ‘straight-through’ processing and real-time data accuracy
  • Systems Optimisation: Leverage our SAP environment (HANA/VMS) to create a ‘single source of truth,’ ensuring our ERP capabilities are fully exploited to provide granular, real-time visibility across the entire value chain
  • Predictive Intelligence: Transition the finance function from a descriptive mindset to a predictive and prescriptive one; use automated modelling to forecast operational outcomes and identify risks before they materialise

Governance & Compliance

  • Risk Management: Maintain a rigorous control environment, ensuring all financial operations comply with Australian regulatory standards and internal governance policies
  • Executive Reporting: Elevate the quality of financial reporting, providing forward-looking, actionable insights for the Board and Executive team

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications & Background

To be considered for this role, you must possess one of the following:

  • Accounting Path: A current CA or CPA qualification with a strong track record in financial management or corporate accounting in complex environments
  • Strategy Consulting Path: Significant, high-impact experience gained within a top-tier strategy consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain), demonstrating a background in high-pressure, analytical environments and business strategy

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Critical Thinking: A demonstrated ability to think from ‘first principles’, dissect complex commercial challenges, and develop innovative solutions where traditional methods may fall short
  • Operational Acumen: A holistic understanding of business operations. You must be able to look beyond the spreadsheet to understand the levers of a manufacturing business—how procurement, logistics, and production costs impact the bottom line
  • M&A: Expertise: Proven track record in executing M&A transactions, specifically in leading the integration phase and ensuring that projected synergies are translated into real-world cash flow
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into a compelling, understandable narrative for non-financial stakeholders and the Board
