Environmental Technician
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Environmental Technician to support site environmental compliance through the servicing, maintenance, and repair of critical environmental monitoring stations and equipment. This field-based role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work in remote environments and takes pride in maintaining reliable and accurate monitoring systems.
You will play a key role in supporting regulatory compliance and company environmental standards while working closely with the broader Environment and Approvals team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Safely install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot environmental monitoring equipment (water, air, vibration, acoustic systems)
- Service pumps, fluid systems, and solar-powered, low-voltage monitoring stations
- Conduct routine site inspections and maintain accurate field records and monitoring data
- Identify and report safety or environmental risks and hazards
- Support statutory monitoring programs, site inspections, audits, and investigations
- Coordinate land management activities (e.g. weed and pest control) and assist with rehabilitation works
- Support environmental projects and initiatives as required
About You:
Essential
- Hands-on field experience (mining, farming, forestry, or similar highly regarded)
- Mechanical aptitude with pumps, instrumentation, and basic low-voltage electrical systems
- Ability to fault‑find and complete basic repairs
- Ability to work independently and in remote environments
- Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
- Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong safety focus and attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated, and organised
- Good communication skills
Desirable:
- Environmental monitoring experience or qualifications
- Light vehicle 4WD competency
