What you’ll do
The primary objective of the Asset Performance Support Officer is to deliver a high-quality, in-house customer helpdesk function that provides a single point of accountability for customer interactions relating to rollingstock faults, service requests, maintenance planning, resource planning and asset performance.
The key accountabilities for this position are:
·Defect and Repair Management – Maintaining defect registers and asset maintenance records. Monitoring repair progress and coordinating customer updates.
·Work Order Administration – Create, update and close work orders. Maintaining and monitoring work order data quality and compliance requirements.
·Procurement and Supplier Co-ordination – Raise, monitor and track purchase orders. Co-ordinate the movement of parts and components to customers, workshops and contractors.
·Rotable and Component Management – Maintain records of components and assets. Monitor overhaul progress and component availability and co-ordinate transportation requirements associated with rotable assets.
·Maintenance Planning Support – Co-ordinate workshop bookings and maintenance schedules. Monitor service due dates and overdue maintenance activities and support outage planning and fleet
availability activities.
·Reporting and Performance Monitoring – Prepare fleet performance and asset availability reports.
·Data Quality and Systems Administration – Maintain high-quality asset and maintenance data ensuring accurate recording of defects, work order, component changes and maintenance activities.
·Safety, Compliance and Governance – Identify and escalate safety risks promptly. Ensure all activities comply with safety management systems, company procedures and regulatory and statutory requirements.
What you’ll bring
To enable success in the role, you will have:
·Experience in asset management, maintenance planning, fleet operations or maintenance
administration.
·You will have strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
·Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
·Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
·High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team
·Commitment to safety and compliance
Experience in rail, heavy industry, logistics or other asset-intensive environments, along
with familiarity with asset management or maintenance systems (eg Maximo),
would be an advantage.
