What you’ll do

The Applications and Business Systems Lead position is accountable for the ownership, performance and continuous improvement of Rail First’s core business applications. This role acts as the primary interface between the business and technology, performing a Business Analyst function to ensure systems effectively support operational, safety and financial outcomes.

 

Key accountabilities for this role include:

·Application Ownership and Strategy – own and manage the lifecycle of core business applications including Maximo, Riskware and Sage.

·Business Analysis and Engagement – act as the primary Business Analyst for application related initiatives, engage with stakeholders to gather documents and validate business requirements.

·Vendor and Delivery Managementmanage application vendors and implementation partners, including scope, deliverables and performance. Coordinate enhancements, upgrades and defect resolution activities.

·Governance and Risk Management – ensure application changes follow approved governance, testing and change control processes.  Support safety, audit and regulatory compliance requirements and maintain system documentation and integration maps.

·Stakeholder communication – provide regular updates to stakeholders on delivery status, risks and dependencies and supporting preparation of executive briefings and decision papers related to systems and investments

 

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience managing enterprise business applications.  You will have strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement capability and experience working with and managing third party vendors.  Experience with Maximo (MAS 9) is essential.
