QuantX Labs is an emerging, world-leading deep-tech company delivering advanced solutions across Space, Defence and Commercial sectors. Based at Lot Fourteen in Adelaide, we are building sovereign capability through next-generation quantum and precision measurement technologies.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to play a key role in delivering innovative products from concept through to deployment, working alongside globally recognised experts in a high-performing, collaborative environment.

About the Role

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex programs and projects, ensuring successful outcomes across the full systems lifecycle. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate cutting-edge science into real-world products used by global customers.

This is a practical and applied role suited to someone who thrives in technically complex environments and enjoys balancing delivery, stakeholder engagement and problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of product development, contract and production projects
  • Define scope, deliverables, timelines and allocate work across teams
  • Plan and manage project execution in collaboration with technical leaders
  • Drive delivery across all lifecycle phases, ensuring performance and outcomes
  • Manage project risks, dependencies and key decision points
  • Oversee resources including labour, materials and budgets
  • Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage supplier relationships and project documentation
  • Report progress to senior stakeholders and governance bodies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and tools

About You

You are a confident and adaptable project leader who can operate in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in technical project management and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience delivering complex projects (Defence, product development, grants highly regarded)
  • Strong background working with cross-functional technical teams (e.g. software, engineering, production)
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira or similar

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
  • Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences
  • High attention to detail, accountability and professionalism
  • Ability to balance technical, schedule, cost and quality considerations
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related field
