About Us:

Quantum-Systems is at the forefront of autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics globally. Our Australian subsidiary, Quantum-Systems Australia, operates in the Defence, Security, and Commercial markets, specialising in Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAS) in the Asia-Pacific region.

Summary:

Our new Project Manager will be the key point of contact, internally and for the customer, for driving projects forward in the department, managing stakeholder engagement and ensuring project/s stay within budget and completed on time. Responsibilities specifically include handling the “project life cycle” (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing), with a proactive approach to client interactions, thorough attention to project lifecycles, and a commitment to aligning project deliverables with the strategic goals of the company and the diverse needs of our clients. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of projects from conception through to completion, ensuring alignment with objectives and standards. 
  • Work closely with the contracting team to interpret project specifications and comply with all contractual agreements. 
  • Formulate and assess subcontractor scopes, ensuring clear communication of reporting requirements and adherence to project schedules. 
  • Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional project outcomes, engaging directly with clients to understand and meet their needs.
  • Project Planning and Reporting.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that include detailed budgeting, estimation of completion (EAC), and resource allocation. 
  • Utilise advanced project management tools and techniques to monitor progress and report on project status to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality metrics across assigned projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in project management, preferably within the Defence, government, or aerospace sectors.
  • Tertiary degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field, or substantial relevant experience.
  • Australian Citizenship and ability to hold a Security Clearance.

Desired

  • Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Demonstrated leadership in complex project environments, with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Prior experience in UAS or similar high-tech sectors, showcasing an ability to manage technologically advanced projects.
