Job tasks and responsibilities

We are a quality-assured steel distribution company with a well-established global supply chain, seeking a motivated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end purchasing process, coordinating orders with overseas suppliers to ensure timely supply, accurate documentation, and consistent product quality. You will play a key role in maintaining efficient procurement operations and strong supplier relationships.

Skills and experience

  • To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience in import/export clerical, purchasing, procurement or supply chain
  • Proven ability in document control and order expediting
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and international sourcing
  • A strong customer focus
  • Knowledge of the Company’s inventory systems for managing inventory and purchasing
  • Experience with process improvement, systems improvement and/or change management
  • Experience in inventory management systems and processes, analysis and reporting
  • A commitment to undergo further training and development under the guidance of senior members of staff
