The Role
The purpose of the Industrial Cleaning Specialist is to perform a range of cleaning and sanitation duties within Prime Stockfeed grounds. This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies. The specialist’s work is critical to ensuring a safe, organized, and compliant workspace, thereby contributing to operational efficiency and the overall health and safety of the facility.
- Perform routine cleaning inside all production buildings (all level), including floor and walls, to prevent dust and feed residue accumulation
- Perform regular cleaning of exterior processes areas, including hardstand areas, spoon drain system, weighbridge, grain and finished feed silos areas.
- Clean and sanitize common areas such as the control room, QA office, maintenance office and utility room.
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas immediately surrounding the facility, including entrances, yard and fence line.
- Assist in maintaining conditions that deter pests by promptly cleaning up spills and removing food sources.\
Success Factors
- Minimum one years’ experience in a similar role where responsibilities included compliance with accreditation, safety, quality, environmental and WH&S requirements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in industrial cleaning, preferably within a manufacturing, production, or food processing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in cleaning and sanitizing large industrial equipment and facilities.
- A demonstrated ability to complete competency-based training in relation to site specific accreditation programs and standards.
- Demonstrated ability in reading, writing and speaking English underpinned by ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
- Physical fitness to undertake the manual labour associated with the role including frequent heavy lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to quickly learn and use business systems relevant to the role.
- Must be a permanent resident of Australia or be an Australian citizen and have own transport.
