Description

About Us

Pop Online Speech Pathology is a telehealth speech pathology company founded and led by Speech Pathologists which means every decision we make is shaped by people who genuinely understand what it means to be a Speechie.

We believe passionately in the power of telehealth to deliver exceptional, equitable care to Australians wherever they live. From metro to regional and remote, our model exists to bridge the gap because access to high-quality speech pathology should never be determined by postcode. That mission is at the heart of everything we do.

With over 80 Speech Pathologists working across the full breadth of the profession, we have built something we are genuinely proud of: a vibrant, connected, high-performing team with a strong clinical culture and a lot of heart. We are growing, and we are looking for talented clinicians who share our values of excellence, integrity, holistic care, accountability, and empowerment who are ready to make a real difference through telehealth.

Our Caseload

Our caseload is diverse, clinically rich, and genuinely interesting. The majority of our clients are paediatric, with a meaningful adult caseload alongside. We work across the full breadth of speech pathology practice, including:

  • Language and literacy
  • Speech (articulation, phonology, motor speech)
  • Fluency
  • Voice
  • Social communication
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Early communication
  • Orofacial myology
  • Swallowing and feeding (including paediatric feeding)
  • Neurodevelopmental delay

We are committed to providing neurodiverse affirming and trauma-informed care, underpinning a holistic, client-centred approach across everything we do.

Our clients access services through Private, NDIS, Schools, and Hospital funding pathways. That variety keeps the work interesting and gives our clinicians the opportunity to build a well-rounded, highly skilled clinical profile.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from Speech Pathologists who have experience in or a genuine understanding of  the private practice model, and who are ready to bring that mindset to a telehealth environment. If you are someone who cares deeply about doing great work, loves a challenge, and wants to be part of a team that actually invests in you, keep reading.

You are someone who:

  • Is genuinely excited about telehealth and believes in its power to deliver equitable, accessible care across Australia
  • Has worked to a high clinical standard, with supervision and support that has helped you grow
  • Brings a holistic, client-centred approach to a diverse caseload (bonus points if you find the complexity fun)
  • Holds yourself to a high standard of clinical administration: thorough documentation, strong digital literacy, and a disciplined approach to the admin side of a caseload
  • Is comfortable in a data-informed environment where your performance is visible and you are working towards clear goals
  • Sees feedback as a tool for growth, not a threat and is motivated by accountability

Applicants must hold a recognised Speech Pathology qualification, current SPA membership, a Medicare Provider Number, and full Australian working rights.

Supervision and Support – The Real Deal

We know that great clinicians are made, not just hired. From day one, you will have access to a supervision and support ecosystem that is genuinely designed to help you thrive, not just survive onboarding.

During Onboarding

Daily supervision access while you find your feet with our systems, processes, and telehealth model. We want you to feel confident from the start, not thrown in the deep end.

Ongoing (Because Great Support Shouldn’t Stop After Week One)

  • Regular operational supervision with your Team Leader
  • Formal clinical supervision with experienced senior clinicians
  • Real-time clinical support via Slack for those “what do I do here?” moments
  • A library of over 50 hours of internal professional development content
  • Virtual training days and a fully funded annual in-person retreat

You will always know how you are performing and you will always have the support to grow.

Performance and Recognition

We are a data-informed organisation. We track clinical performance, set clear goals, and share data with our clinicians transparently  because we think people do their best work when they know where they stand.

We also firmly believe that high expectations deserve real investment. Our support and supervision infrastructure exists so that every clinician has what they need to perform brilliantly.

And when you go above and beyond? We recognise it. Clinicians who exceed their clinical targets are eligible for performance-based bonuses. Growth at Pop is earned, visible, and genuinely within reach.

Resources and Infrastructure

We set our clinicians up to succeed, no hunting for equipment, no out-of-pocket expenses for the basics. Pop provides:

  • A company laptop
  • A comprehensive therapy resource box with materials and toys (the fun stuff)
  • An annual home office and online subscription allowance to support your workspace and sessions
  • A data allowance for internet access
  • IT support from an external provider during business hours
  • An extensive internal therapy resource library developed by our own clinical team

Professional Developement

Lifelong learning is one of our favourite things about this profession and we back it properly. Clinicians at Pop receive:

  • An annual professional development budget (yours to spend on what actually matters to you)
  • Paid professional development leave
  • A personalised learning plan developed with your Team Leader
  • 50+ hours of internal PD content, continuously growing
  • Virtual training days and a fully funded annual in-person retreat

Career Pathways

We are a growing organisation and we love promoting from within. Whether your ambitions sit in clinical leadership or operational leadership, there are real opportunities here for clinicians who are ready to step up.

Flexible Work Arrangements

We get it great clinicians have full lives outside of work. Our caseload naturally suits flexible scheduling, and we have built our roles to reflect that. Options include:

  • Full-time roles with afterschool availability
  • Split shifts working before and after school hours
  • Afternoon-only shifts

Not sure what arrangement suits your life right now? Let’s have a chat.
