Summary:

As an Artist Merch Designer at Pledis, you will play a pivotal role in creating visually compelling merchandise that resonates with our audience. Based in Sydney, New South Wales, this full-time position requires a creative individual who can blend artistic vision with market trends to enhance our brand’s presence in the arts industry. Your designs will not only reflect our artistic ethos but also engage and inspire our customers, making a significant impact on our merchandise sales and brand loyalty.

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative merchandise designs that align with the brand’s artistic vision and market trends.
• Collaborate with artists and marketing teams to conceptualise and execute merchandise ideas.
• Create mock-ups and prototypes for merchandise, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and customer preferences in merchandise design.
• Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final products.
• Maintain an organised archive of design files and documentation for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in merchandise design or a similar role.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous merchandise design work.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for the arts.
