ACE Renovation Group is looking for an experienced and driven Renovation and Modifications Team Lead to oversee our growing portfolio of commercial, residential, and NDIS modification projects. The Opportunity

As the Renovation and Modifications Team Lead, you’ll take ownership of project delivery while leading a team of tradespeople and contractors. You’ll be responsible for estimating works, preparing quotations, coordinating schedules, negotiating with suppliers, managing budgets, and ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

This role combines operational leadership with project management and offers genuine opportunities for professional growth and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of tradespeople and contractors.
  • Oversee renovation, maintenance, and modification projects from planning through to completion.
  • Prepare accurate project estimates, costings, scopes of work, and quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing, timelines, and contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and resources across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for efficiencies and savings.
  • Schedule works and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with building standards and safety regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across operational processes and project delivery.
  • Identify business development opportunities and contribute to the ongoing growth of the organisation.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture by coaching team members and supporting their professional development.

About You

You’ll be an organised and confident leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience in construction, renovations, building maintenance, or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong estimating and costing experience with the ability to prepare competitive and accurate quotations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Outstanding project coordination and organisational abilities.
  • Knowledge of Australian building codes, compliance requirements, and workplace safety standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A trade qualification or relevant industry experience such as White Card (highly regarded).
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence and unrestricted working rights.
