About Peer Support at Peach Tree
Peer support roles involve gently walking alongside parents and families, drawing on your own lived experience in ways that feel safe, intentional, and supported.
In these roles, you may:
- Co-facilitate peer support groups and programs
- Help create spaces where parents feel safe to share and connect
- Offer empathy, understanding, and hope through shared experience
- Support access to helpful services and resources
- Engage in ongoing reflection, supervision, and learning
These are designated lived experience roles, where your experiences are valued as a source of knowledge, connection, and care. Due to the peer-led nature of our service, an inherent requirement of the position is personal lived experience of perinatal mental health challenges, which is used intentionally and professionally to support others.
