Accounts Officer – Part Time | 12 Month Parental Leave Cover

Kewdale location | Monday to Thursday, 8:00am–2:00pm | Commencing July

We are now looking for a part-time Accounts Officer to join our Finance team on a 12-month parental leave cover contract, commencing in July.

Working Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 2:00pm, this role would suit an experienced accounts professional who enjoys variety, accuracy and being part of a supportive team environment.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the smooth running of our day-to-day finance operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, credit control and general finance administration.

You will be part of a small team where your attention to detail, ownership and follow-through will be genuinely valued.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

Processing supplier invoices and assisting with payment runs Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice discrepancies Monitoring payment requisitions and matching open items to supplier invoices Recording landed costs linked to freight and customs invoices Issuing customer statements and following up overdue accounts Supporting credit control processes, including customer account reviews and order releases Allocating customer payments and reconciling accounts Processing daily bank transactions and bank reconciliations Managing credit card reconciliations Providing backup support for payroll processing when required Assisting the Finance Manager and wider team with other accounts-related tasks

About you

You will ideally bring:

Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or a similar accounts role A good understanding of basic accounting principles Strong attention to detail and accuracy Confidence using Excel and Microsoft Office Experience using an ERP system, with Pronto experience highly regarded The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines A proactive, accountable and team-focused approach Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset Payroll exposure would be beneficial, but is not essential

Most importantly, you will be someone who takes pride in doing things properly, builds strong working relationships and is comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.
