Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Trade Assistant to join our manufacturing team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. We produce high quality industrial hoses, piping systems, fittings and couplings as well as lined pipes for some of the biggest industrial sectors in Australia.

Our clients include Tier 1 organisations, and our solutions serve a broad range of industries. Our products are applied across sectors such as oil and gas, mining, commercial plumbing, defence, aerospace, water treatment, chemical processing and aviation.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Working closely with the Production Team, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare hose assemblies from components accordance with customer timeframes
  • Descaling and passivating hose assemblies using barrel and pedestal grinders, pickling paste, and passivation liquid. (Both acid based)
  • Pressure testing hose assemblies using hydrostatic and pneumatic testing methods.
  • Painting of Mild steel fittings and flow arrows.
  • Drying and capping of hose assemblies.
  • Uploading and filling out certificates.
  • Operate various types of machinery and hand tools in a safe manner.
  • Complete training as required by the business.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.

About You:

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar manufacturing/industry environment
  • Ability to work to a Schedule whilst producing quality products
  • Ability to work as part of team whilst ensuring individual goals are achieved
  • Intermediate PC skills
  • Understanding of safe work practices and hazard identification.
  • Time Management skills
  • Drivers Licence
  • A willingness to cross-train in other areas to support staff leave

Desirable:

Previous experience with hose, hose fittings, related products and assembly, hydraulic and industrial hoses would be highly regarded
