Description

About Pace

At Pace Farm, we’re proud of our strong family values that have guided us since the 1970s. From humble beginnings, we’ve grown into one of Australia’s largest egg producers, delivering the freshest, tastiest eggs nationwide. As the leading supplier of farm-fresh eggs and egg products, our mission is to continue setting the standard in the industry by valuing our people and equipping them with the skills to deliver top-quality products and service. With egg-citing growth and expansion on the horizon, now’s a great time to join us and be part of our continued success!

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join Pace Farm’s collaborative Planning Team on a 12-month fixed term parental leave cover. Working within a fast-paced FMCG and food production environment, the role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end planning process to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards. The position plays a key role in coordinating production schedules, monitoring inventory and transport movements, and communicating closely with stakeholders across production, logistics, warehouse, sales, customer service, and supply chain teams.

What you’ll do

  • Assist in creating and managing daily production schedules based on forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels
  • Coordinate the movement of eggs, packaging, and finished goods across sites, including transport planning and farm pickups
  • Monitor inventory levels and production flow to ensure availability while minimising waste and avoiding shortages
  • Communicate with production, warehouse, logistics, sales, customer service, and supply chain teams on planning updates and issues
  • Monitor end-to-end product and transport movements to ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies
  • Support demand and supply planning activities within a fast-paced FMCG environment
  • Analyse and maintain planning data using Excel and internal systems to support operational decision-making
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve production delays, shortages, and bottlenecks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning efficiency and process effectiveness

About you

Have you built your career in FMCG, manufacturing, retail or supply chain where getting the plan right meant everything running smoothly the next day? You’ve spent at least 3 years in fast-paced environments where juggling demand, inventory, and competing priorities comes naturally, and you’re known for staying calm, resilient and focused when things shift quickly. You trust your experience, back your judgement, and keep moving forward even when priorities change at pace.

If you’ve worked closely with production, logistics or planning teams, you’ll already understand the rhythm of this kind of environment and what it takes to make it work. You’re highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working with data and Excel, but just as importantly, you’re a strong communicator who can bring people together across different teams to keep things on track. You think ahead, spot issues early, and take a proactive approach to solving problems. If this sounds like you, we’d love you to apply!

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years’ experience in production planning, demand planning, supply chain, logistics or manufacturing in a fast-paced FMCG environment
  • Advanced MS Excel skills with confidence using data to support planning and decision-making
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work across production, logistics, warehouse, sales and customer service teams
  • Resilient and calm under pressure, able to adapt quickly when priorities change
  • Proven ability to manage competing demands and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive, continuous improvement approach
  • Works well independently while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced team
  • Ability to travel a couple of times a month to other sites

Why Join Pace Farm?

  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment that fosters teamwork and growth.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a multi-site business
  • Ongoing learning, development and career growth opportunities
  • Hybrid flexibility with 1 day working from home each week
