Housekeeping Attendant/Houseperson

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to join our team in Nelson Bay, New South Wales. This part-time contract role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our accommodation facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will contribute to the overall guest experience in the travel and tourism industry.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required.
• Restock supplies in guest rooms and common areas, ensuring all items are available for guest use.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored safely and correctly.
• Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitising to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a secondary school certificate is preferred.
• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning.
