About the Role:

The National Individual Giving Manager leads OzHarvest’s Individual Giving program nationally, driving revenue growth across acquisition, retention, regular giving, appeals and fundraising. This role is accountable for delivering annual Individual Giving revenue budgets and growth targets, while owning the end-to-end supporter journey to maximise lifetime value. You will lead a high-performing team and use data, insight and innovation to build a sustainable and scalable program that supports OzHarvest’s long-term impact. Success in this role looks like a measurably larger, more loyal and more diverse supporter base, with stronger lifetime value, lower attrition, and a clearer view of which channels and audiences are powering our future growth. This is a full-time position, with flexible WFH/in-office arrangements with some travel and in office days required.

Responsibility areas:

  • Lead the national Individual Giving strategy across all revenue streams, aligned to Development and organisational priorities
  • Own and deliver revenue targets across acquisition, retention, regular giving and appeals, while building and feeding pipelines into mid-value, major giving and Gifts in Wills
  • Translate strategy into clear, actionable plans with defined targets, timelines and ownership, identifying growth opportunities across audiences and products
  • Lead the planning and execution of key fundraising campaigns and appeals, ensuring activity is insight-led and optimised for performance and ROI
  • Oversee end-to-end fundraising activity, including agency and supplier performance
  • Drive acquisition, retention, reactivation, upgrades and renewals across the supporter lifecycle, including growth of the regular giving program
  • Develop and execute mid-value donor programs, including targeted journeys, engagement and upgrade pathways
  • Deliver a seamless supporter journey across all touchpoints, strengthening engagement and understanding of impact
  • Lead stewardship and engagement initiatives to deepen relationships and progression
  • Lead structured testing and optimisation across campaigns and donor journeys (e.g. A/B testing, segmentation, creative and offer optimisation)
  • Implement measurement frameworks and use data to inform targeting, personalisation and decision making
  • Track, analyse and report on performance, including income, expenditure, ROI, forecasting and budgeting
  • Lead post-campaign analysis and embed learnings to drive continuous improvement
  • Work with Data and Technology teams to optimise CRM, marketing automation, AI-enabled tools and fundraising platforms to support scalable growth, improved supporter experiences and more efficient ways of working
  • Partner across Marketing, Impact, Data and Operations to align messaging, activity and supporter experience
  • Ensure integration between brand, storytelling and fundraising outcomes
  • Experience managing external agencies and supplier relationships
  • Lead, coach and develop the Individual Giving team, including setting KPIs, managing performance, building capability and fostering a high-performing and accountable team culture

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Thorough understanding of the OzHarvest cause and values
  • Demonstrated experience leading, managing and developing high-performing teams, including setting KPIs, performance management and coaching
  • Experience managing external agencies, suppliers and strategic partners to deliver measurable fundraising outcomes
  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent problem solving, planning and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering Individual Giving or direct marketing programs
  • Experience developing, launching and growing structured regular giving programs
  • Proven ability to drive acquisition, retention, upgrades and renewals across donor programs
  • Experience creating and optimising donor journeys, particularly for regular giving audiences
  • Strong knowledge of donor acquisition strategies and channels, including digital, F2F, telemarketing and direct response
  • Experience managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns and delivering against revenue targets
  • Demonstrated track record of growing Individual Giving revenue year-on-year through insight-led acquisition, retention and optimisation strategies
  • Strong analytical capability, including data segmentation, performance tracking and campaign optimisation
  • Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce and Marketing Cloud preferred) and interpreting data to drive decision making
  • Sound financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and ROI analysis
  • Experience leveraging emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), automation and data-driven tools to improve fundraising effectiveness, supporter experience and operational efficiency
