Description

Oxworks is Australia’s largest privately owned manufacturer and distributor of quality fencing products with 300 staff across 21 locations. Operating for 20+ years, we continue to be a market leader in the industry.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join our Head Office Team on a Permanent Part-Time basis, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Administrator’s primary focus is to,

  • Support, develop and assist internal stakeholders with all generalist queries relating to policies, procedures, performance management, disputes and resolutions, employment relations, Award interpretation and recruitment
  • Coordinate end to end recruitment across all departments & branches including placement of ads, screening and shortlisting applicants, confirming interviews and liaising with the relevant Hiring Manager to confirm appointment details
  • Assist with the preparation of letters of offer, employment contracts, employment documents and the like, & ensure all new hires are successfully onboarded prior to planned commencement
  • Develop a detailed induction plan for all new starters & allocate internal resource as appropriate to support this induction
  • Assist company leaders with performance management of staff where required (preparing paperwork, consulting with HR Manager, organising and attending meetings, organising follow-ups)
  • Provide a central point of knowledge excellence relating to all HR systems and tools
  • Become proficient with the payroll system and complete a full pay run each month
  • Promote a harmonious environment with company staff to foster a positive and can-do approach to servicing the needs of Oxworks customers above the needs of a single department or Branch

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following experience and knowledge,

  • Tertiary qualifications in a HR related discipline (preferred but not essential)
  • Demonstrated experience within a large and complex environment
  • High level knowledge of the Manufacturing Award & Fair Work
  • Strong people, communication and planning skills
  • Current Driver’s license
  • High level computer skills and high proficiency with MS Office & Employment Hero
  • Ability to work under limited supervision in a high transactional environment
