About the role 

  • Hybrid and fully remote working arrangements available 
  • Full time (part-time options considered/flexible work arrangements available) 
  • Fixed term to June 2027 (with potential for renewal) 
  • $90,999 to $93,845 + 12% super + 17.5% annual leave loading + 5 additional days health/wellbeing leave

Reporting to the Quality and Learning Design Lead, the Training Advisor is part of the Prevention In Action (PIA) directorate, within the Prevention Quality, Support and Reach (PQSR) team.   

As the Training Advisor, you will play a key role in designing, developing and delivering high-quality learning and capacity-building initiatives that support the prevention of violence against women and children. Working within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team, you bring instructional design skill and experience to contribute to the implementation of the Learning Strategy, ensuring training and resources are engaging, evidence-based, and aligned to best-practice adult learning principles. 

You will support the development of innovative learning solutions across digital, online and face-to-face formats, while also contributing to the transition to a new Learning Management System. This role partners closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery and continuous improvement of learning products.

About you 

You are an experienced and passionate learning professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is motivated by creating engaging and effective learning experiences. You bring strong instructional design capability and a commitment to continuous improvement, alongside the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.   

Your experience and skills included, but not limited to: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent demonstrated experience designing, developing and delivering training programs for diverse audiences 
  • Experience working in a values-driven or purpose-led organisation (desirable) 
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies 
  • Experience developing learning across digital, online and face-to-face environments 
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems and eLearning authoring tools 
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences 
  • Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
