The Head of Philanthropy role at Our Watch is an exceptional opportunity to establish and grow a national philanthropic function that directly contributes to ending violence against women.
Working within the Marketing and Communications Directorate, the Head of Philanthropy will be a visionary and strategic leader responsible for developing the philanthropy function at Our Watch.
This is a key role in advancing our strategic impact, working alongside the Director of Marketing, Communications and Philanthropy, the CEO, Executive Team and Board to inspire investment in lasting social impact.
With the support of a Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager as your direct report, you will directly shape and deliver Our Watch’s philanthropy strategy, cultivate and steward high-value relationships, and build a strong culture of philanthropy across the organisation.
About you
You are a seasoned philanthropy professional who combines strategic thinking with exceptional relationship skills. You bring:
- Proven success in developing and implementing philanthropic strategies.
- Experience cultivating, actualising and stewarding high-value partnerships with philanthropists, trusts, and foundations.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for gender equality and social justice, and a commitment to Our Watch’s vision.
- Experience in the prevention of violence against women or gender equality is desirable but not essential.
