We’re looking for experienced Senior IT Project Managers who can demonstrate successful program or project delivery where you’ve been responsible for initiating, planning, managing and closing out a complex Payroll Implementation engagement.
You will bring the following skills and experience to be successful in these roles:
- Managing payroll implementation projects from discovery through design, testing, migration, go-live, and post-implementation support.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, awards, enterprise agreements, superannuation, PAYG, leave, timesheets, and compliance obligations.
- Translating business requirements into practical system and process solutions.
- Leading data migration, parallel pay runs, UAT, defect management, and cutover planning.
- Engaging confidently with payroll teams, HR, finance, IT, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
- Driving change management, training, documentation, and adoption across the business.
- Identifying process gaps, controls issues, and opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and governance.
- Maintaining strong delivery discipline across timelines, risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with Sponsors, Stakeholders & SMEs,
- Communicate clearly, effectively and efficiently,
- Provide leadership and direction to your program or project team, be able to demonstrate that you can sponsor and achieve sound team collaboration, with a team of diverse people across multiple work locations whilst supporting development needs of individuals,
- Minimum of 5 years experience in program management or a minimum of 10 years experience in project management,
- Demonstrated experience working with Traditional (Waterfall), Agile, Hybrid and proprietary delivery methods,
- Core experience in IT Program or Project Management on a small, medium or large scale IT projects,
- Experience in IT Digital, Integration, Migration, Transformation, Mergers/Demergers, Cloud, Application, Infrastructure and Security projects,
- Demonstrated core capabilities around status reporting, RAAID registers, budget estimation/tracking (Capex/Opex), risk mitigation strategies, planning/scheduling, deliverable identification/tracking, scope/requirements management, decision making and quality control/assurance,
- Broad, stable industry experience across financial services, utilities, retail, FMCG, government, and telco domains,
- Strong supplier and vendor management skills,
- Ideally have experience with Portfolio Project Management Tools,
- Demonstrated experience using, collaboration and office tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Office suite.
- Ideally you will have a relevant tertiary degree and hold qualifications, certifications or accreditations such as CAPM®, PMP®, PMBOK®, PgMP®, PfMP®, PMI-ACP®, CompTIA Project+ Certification, APM®, AgilePM®, PPMP®, PMP®, CPD®, CPMP®, MPM®, Certified Scrum Master, PRINCE2®, PMITS®, SAFe®.
