Nidjalla Waangan Mia, a service of Oseca, provides Aboriginal Medical Services in the Peel and surrounding locations. We are a multi-disciplinary service working with and within our communities to provide high standards of care.
Summary:
The Administration Officer ensures a welcoming environment while providing reception duties and supporting the smooth operation of the practice. This includes managing appointments,
client records, and correspondence, as well as assisting the healthcare team with MBS billings and client eligibility reviews on PRODA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide reception duties and ensure a welcoming environment is always maintained.
- Maintain appointments and client records in the clinical software system.
- Process all incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Provide support to the NWM Site Manager, GPs, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and Nurses as directed.
- Work with GPs and Nurse to ensure accurate MBS billings of client and processing of billings and rejections with Medicare
- Review client eligibility on PRODA for Enhanced Primary Care and add in client notes for follow up by clinical staff.
- Maintain Nidjalla Waangan Mia group room bookings
- Manage stationery orders and stock requirements for NWM in accordance with Oseca systems.
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably directed by your manager or the CEO.

Delivering culturally safe, holistic healthcare to the Aboriginal community in the Peel region. This service includes clinical consultations, health promotion, chronic disease management, immunisations, and general nursing support — all embedded in a culturally respectful and community-led approach.
🌱 Community Health and Wellbeing Initiatives

Essential Qualifications/ Experience:
• Certificate III in Business, equivalent or relevant experience
• Excellent time management
• Experience in using a DMS – preferably in the healthcare sector
• Intermedial skills using the Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail, especially in client records and correspondence
• Basic office management, including stationery and stock control
Essential Requirements:
• Current Western Australian Drivers Licence
• National Police Clearance
• Pre-Employment Health Assessment
• Current Working with Children Check
