We are inspired by our purpose of creating accessible modern luxury for real life and sharing it with the world. This year we are celebrating 88 years of heritage and we are in an exciting chapter of growth and reinvention.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Marketplace Trade Manager to own and drive the trading and operational performance of Oroton’s third‑party marketplaces and wholesale/dropship partners.

This role reports into our GM Digital and is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of marketplace channels from commercial negotiation and partner onboarding through to day‑to‑day trading, optimisation and operational execution. Working closely with internal teams across Merchandising, Supply Chain, E‑commerce, Marketing and Customer Service, you’ll ensure marketplace activity aligns with brand standards, delivers strong commercial outcomes and supports a seamless customer experience.

This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role with scope to grow as the channel continues to scale, including support for approved international marketplace expansion. This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Sydney Support Office in Chippendale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day‑to‑day trading and operational management of Oroton’s marketplace channels
  • Manage pricing, promotions, SKU eligibility and trading rules in partnership with Merchandising
  • Conduct regular range reviews, testing and optimisation by channel
  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage relationships with marketplace and dropship partners
  • Own end‑to‑end partner onboarding and launches, including contracts, integrations and readiness
  • Develop business cases and operational plans for new marketplace opportunities
  • Monitor and optimise performance across sales, margin, fulfilment, returns and cost‑to‑serve
  • Oversee marketplace fulfilment and last‑mile delivery, managing SLAs with Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Own co‑operative marketing activity, promotional execution and ROI assessment
  • Deliver clear reporting, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8 years’ experience in marketplace trading, ecommerce operations or wholesale/dropship roles
  • Proven experience negotiating, onboarding and managing third‑party marketplace partners
  • Experience launching and operating international marketplaces
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, with confidence interpreting performance data
  • Solid understanding of fulfilment models, marketplace operations and customer experience drivers
  • Working knowledge of Australian and international trade regulations
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment
