Infrastructure Engineer (Compute / Storage) – Contract | Canberra | NV2+ Cleared

Opes is looking for experienced contractors to support the delivery of a complex project in Canberra. We are seeking professionals with demonstrated expertise, a strong delivery mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in secure, high-assurance environments.

About the role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll deliver the initial compute and storage build, including racking, stacking, and standing up HPE platforms to approved designs. This is a hands-on build role at the foundation of a secure, high-assurance environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Racking, stacking, and cabling HPE compute and storage hardware
  • Building and configuring HPE compute and storage platforms to design
  • Applying firmware, patching, and lifecycle maintenance across the estate
  • Configuring and monitoring platform health via HPE iLO and OneView / OpenView

What we’re looking for

  • Hands-on build experience with HPE compute and storage platforms
  • Solid data centre skills — racking, stacking, cabling, firmware
  • A disciplined approach to documentation and change control

Clearance

You must hold a current Australian Government security clearance at NV2 or above. Opes is not sponsoring new clearances for these positions. Only applicants who currently hold the required clearance will be considered.
