About the Role
Opera Australia is looking for an experienced and creative Video Producer to help bring our productions, artists and brand to life across social media and other digital platforms . Working within our Marketing team, you’ll create compelling visual content that connects audiences with some of Australia’s most iconic opera and musical theatre performances.
From capturing exclusive behind-the-scenes moments to producing campaign content that inspires ticket sales and audience engagement, you’ll play an essential role in shaping how audiences experience Opera Australia beyond the stage. This is an exciting opportunity to combine creative vision, technical expertise and strategic thinking in one of Australia’s leading performing arts organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging video content that supports brand awareness, audience engagement and ticket sales.
- Capture and produce a wide range of content including artist features, rehearsal footage, performance highlights and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
- Transform creative concepts into high-quality video campaigns for digital, social media and marketing channels.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to identify and tell meaningful stories that showcase Opera Australia’s work on and off the stage.
- Manage projects from concept development through to filming, editing and final delivery.
- Create content tailored to a variety of audiences and platforms, ensuring maximum impact and engagement.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to coordinate productions and deliver projects on time and within
budget.
- Help drive innovation in content creation by exploring new formats, trends and opportunities across digital platforms.
About You
- 3 years’ experience in content creation for social media channels is preferred.
- Proven experience producing video content for digital, social and marketing campaigns.
- Strong filming, editing and post-production skills, with a sharp creative eye and attention to detail.
- Proven experience creating content that resonates on a range of social media platforms.
- Confidence managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high production standards.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to direct talent and manage video shoots.
- A passion for visual storytelling and creating content that drives audience engagement.
- Experience working within arts, entertainment, media or cultural organisations will be highly regarded.
