About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Payroll & Projects Officer to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all our employees, including those underpinned by an enterprise agreement. In addition, you will work closely with other members of the Finance team and contribute to key finance projects and support continuous improvement initiatives within Finance. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of financial operations, as well as exemplifying your already strong payroll processing skills.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Preparation of both weekly and fortnightly payrolls and distributing to all staff
  • Maintaining all payroll records and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation
  • Assisting in the preparation of all payroll related reports
  • Timely response and resolution to all payroll related queries from employees
  • Contributing to process improvement projects across the finance function

About You

We are looking for someone who is highly experienced in payroll processing, with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Formal qualifications in finance, commerce or related discipline are advantageous but not essential.

 

You will have:

  • Experience with & strong understanding of payroll systems (Employment Hero highly preferred)
  • Experience with ERP systems (D365) is highly desirable but not essential
  • Good understanding of payroll and taxation legislation / requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
  • You will bring to the team your passion, energy, and ability to work collaboratively to elevate our service delivery to new and exciting places.
