The opportunity

Reporting to the Asset Shift Supervisor at Wallumbilla LPG Plant, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of field production facilities, compression systems, gas processing plants and associated infrastructure. You’ll provide technical leadership, mentor operators, manage permits and isolations, and support production optimisation initiatives across the operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating and monitoring gas processing and compression facilities
  • Leading plant start-up, shutdown and operational activities
  • Managing permits, isolations and safety systems
  • Supporting maintenance activities and plant reliability initiatives
  • Driving operational improvements and production optimisation
  • Maintaining compliance with all safety, environmental and operational standards

About You

You are a proactive and safety-focused Gas Operations professional who enjoys working in a dynamic operational environment. To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in gas/ LPG processing operations
  • Certificate III or IV in Process Plant Operations
  • Solid experience using SCADA and Delta V control systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of gas processing operations, fractionation systems, compression systems, gas dehydration processes, separation and liquids recovery processes
  • Hands-on experience with the start-up and shutdown of cryogenic processing systems
  • Strong operational knowledge of compressors, pumps, valves, pipelines, storage systems
  • Experience issuing, coordinating and managing permits to work and isolations
  • HR licence, high-risk licences will be highly regarded
