The opportunity
Reporting to the Asset Shift Supervisor at Silver Springs Processing Plant, you will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of gas production facilities, optimising field production and carrying out maintenance activities on wells, pipelines, compressors and associated equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring gas wells and processing equipment
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance activities on all wellhead equipment, surface facilities, cathodic protection systems and pipeline gathering systems
- Conducting inspections, fault finding and repairs
- Supporting shutdown activities and operational improvements
- Maintaining safety, environmental and compliance standards
- Recording maintenance and operational activities accurately
About you
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience in conventional gas field operations
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility
- Extensive mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
- Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence (or equivalent)
- Good communication and computer skills
- Relevant industry qualifications, eg Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Cert III in Engineering – Fixed & Mobile Plant Mechanic
- Cert III in Process Plant Operations, HR licence, high-risk licences will be highly regarded.
