The Speech Pathologist reports to the Allied Health Team Leader. As a Speech Pathologist, you will deliver speech therapy to young children aged up to school age in individual centre-based sessions. Children in this program do not need a GP referral but instead can be referred in via community-based organisations such as Maternal and Child Health Services or parent/carer referrals as well as NDIS participants utilising their NDIS planned funds.

This role would be supported by another full-time highly experienced Speech Pathologist, Allied Health Team as well as the broader NDCH team.

About This Role

To provide speech pathology services within their individual scope of practice for a range of funding and service guidelines including but not limited to: the Victorian Department of Health; My Aged Care; NDIS; fee for service; including goal setting, assessment, therapy and evaluation to the community (including NDIS Participants) as part of an interdisciplinary team.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia.

• Qualified Speech Pathologist as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia.

• Training in and understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework. Training may be provided by NDCH if not already attained.

• Current working with children, police check & NDIS screening check
