About NAAFLS
NAAFLS is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation and the only victim based Family Violence Prevention Legal Service operating in remote communities across the Top End of the Northern Territory. With offices in Darwin, Katherine and Nhulunbuy, we service over 40 remote communities, delivering culturally responsive legal representation in Family Law, Child Protection and Domestic & Family Violence.
Our unique holistic service model brings lawyers together with Aboriginal Client Support Officers and Case Workers—ensuring our clients are supported not just legally, but culturally and safely.
About the Role
- Support organisational reporting requirements across multiple programs and service areas.
- Assist staff in the effective use of systems including Actionstep, DEX, and reporting tools.
- Extract, compile, clean, and analyse data to support operational and reporting needs.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and meaningful data summaries for teams and stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of systems, workflows, forms, and reporting processes.
- Provide practical troubleshooting and user support to staff across the organisation.
- Contribute to audits, strategic reporting initiatives, and organisational projects.
Contribute to the organisation’s commitment to delivering culturally appropriate services by supporting data and reporting practices that are accurate, accessible, respectful, and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
About You
You are a practical and solutions-focused professional who enjoys working across systems, data, and people. You can translate information into meaningful insights, support staff confidently using systems and reporting tools, and contribute to improving processes across a busy organisation.
What We’re Looking For
Essential criteria:
- Experience working in community services, not-for-profit organisations, ACCOs, or similar environments.
- Demonstrated experience in data collection, reporting, information management, or system support.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
- Ability to support staff in using systems and reporting tools in a practical, user-focused way.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
- Positive, professional, and solutions-focused approach.
- Understanding of culturally safe practice working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Able to obtain a WWCC and satisfactory Criminal History Check.
Desirable Criteria
• Experience using systems such as DEX, Actionstep, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Experience contributing to system improvements, reporting enhancements, or process development projects.
• Qualifications or experience in research, policy, IT, information management, business administration, or community services.
