Summary:

The Maintenance Delivery Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and delivery of maintenance services within the public sector. This position is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with government standards, contributing to the overall improvement of public facilities and infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead a team, oversee maintenance projects, and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities across public sector facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimise service delivery and reduce downtime.
  • Supervise and support maintenance staff, providing training and guidance to enhance team performance.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure standards are met.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and reports for management review.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management or a similar role within the public sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
