About The Role
The Trade Counter Sales role is the face of the NHS business when customers enter the premises.
The role is responsible for ensuring informed and quality product advice is provided, while delivering industry‑leading customer service and maximising sales opportunities that meet NHS customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide customers with accurate product advice and practical building solutions
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive customer experience on every interaction
- Process sales transactions, quotes, orders and payments accurately
- Coordinate customer special orders and ensure timely follow-up
- Assist customers with loading products safely and efficiently
- Maintain merchandising standards and ensure products are presented professionally
- Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stocktakes and general stock control activities
- Liaise with yard, warehouse and delivery teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment
- Participate in ongoing product and systems training to build capability and product knowledge
About You
You are a reliable and motivated team player who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
You will bring:
- Proven punctuality and reliability
- A willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
- Strong verbal and non‑verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
- A current NSW Driver Licence (Provisional or above)
